I guess if we drove around long
enough to get the angle right, and the rainbow lasted that long,
I suspect we could have located it at 16th and GEORGEtown, but
it's close enough as it is.

I have to work tonight, I'm gonna
nap, I'm holding out hope that Dennis will send the Simmons
damage pictures and I have a great feature story on things you
don't know about the Honda Indy engine deal. BACK LATER...

The session is essentially
over, but they are giving PJ Jones about 5 laps on track alone
to further shake down the car. Jones has made the
"installation" and leak check steps, and has gone from
a 22 mph lap to a 186! I'm not sure how prudent and necessary
this is. Now they are calling this "refresher" time,
but the car is too fast, too soon. Well, they got the full day
in. During the last few minutes Dan Wheldon made it to 3rd on
the chart and Tony Kanaan posted the best AGR speed of the day
(not the month). Jaques lazier ran a "220," as did
Jeff Bucknum and PJ Chesson, but Al Unser Jr. didn't. With the
exception of PJ Jones, the bottom two on the chart is butt ugly,
with no chance for speed. Herb is probably done. I doubt Roth
will put some one in the car, he would be better off looking for
a good team like PDM to find him some speed. There are 30 cars
above 218 mph.
