September 30th, the wedding weekend.

It was a beautiful wedding in a beautiful setting, here's a few pictures from before the ceremony...

Dixie, Amber's mother was in charge of the hairdo's, and she did a wonderful job on Mackie and Amber's sometimes hard to manage curls.

Paybacks are tough, this was only the first layer, I got there early in the process. Later on I asked if they might be going a bit too far, I was told that Jimmy had  played "decorator" on the car of the guy on the left after his wedding, knowing Jimmy, he was getting nothing less than what he gave.

The "Rehearsal" Dinner

The post rehearsal dinner was held at Amber and Jimmy's home, with her family doing the cooking (I chipped in with a macaroni and cheese dish). Since the wedding will be held on Lake Norman paddlewheel, there will be no rehearsing needed, so we "rehearsed" eating instead.

Amber showed off her creative handiwork with the Autumn teamed table centerpieces, the "tree" is made from a branch fount in the woods behind the apartment and brambles from a gum ball tree in Chris and Sandie's front yard. the multi-colored  "leaves" are from a selection that includes  some that Mackie will spread as part of the wedding procession, Mackie is shown below practicing for her part in the ceremony (the wedding bands are tied to her basked with the red bow..

It's starting to get cool at night in Mooresville, NC, but the fire was warm and it was a great to see everyone together again.

Mackie and her mommy in the house, it was almost too cold in Mooresville for some on Friday evening..

Everyone started arriving for the wedding weekend on Thursday, so we had an impromptu dinner at one of the Lake Norman area restaurants.
