Danica
Patrick on pit road, while they took away Danica's weight
advantage, unless they make her sit on a NYC phone book, they
can't take away the clear pathway to the entire air inlet. Few
drivers can come close to that kind of advantage.

Danica
Patrick is the smallest/shortest IndyCar driver, Justin Wilson
the tallest, actually they've done a better job getting Justin
as low as possible in the car than I would have thought they
could. |

Practice is over, I'm sure I've seen
better days at IMS, probably one of the Fast Fridays over the
years, but not in recent years... |
(5-6-08, 6:30
p.m., EDT) First of all, check back later, I'm going to post as
many pictures as I can find of cars we haven't seen yet. Lets
get to Happy Hour results for now. Apparently nobody was able to
catch the kind of tow I suspect Marco Andretti found, because
his 226.599 held up to be a chart-topper by 1.33-mph, that's why
I am so sure it was draft aided, but Kanaan's could have been
too. There were a few final-flyers that skewed the top-10 as
well, Scott Dixon moved to 3rd on his last lap and Ryan Briscoe
moved to 4th on his. Helio Castroneves hung on to close the
session with both cars in the top-10. Vitor Meira was 13th and
20th in his two cars. It will be interesting to see which cars
these two drivers opt for, it isn't always the fast one. I'll
let you use your mouse wheel to check the rest of the happy hour
gains. Surfing for surprises, I like Buddy Rice in 8th with an
unsponsored car. It appears D&R Racing is running Rice on TEAM
and WINNERS CIRCLE money only. There were 27 drivers running at
speeds above last year's bump speed.
