It's a wrap, Marty Roth "wins" the week impressively, running a top-speed of 212.8-mph. Time to go Racin' Guys and Gals...
(10:30 EDT) This testing session has ended. Once I saw on T&S that there was a prolonged caution with a little more than 90 minutes of running left, and the car of Graham Rahal continued to be shown not in the pits, I assumed he had made contact. I called a friend in the Media Center and she confirmed that Graham had indeed backed the car into the wall somewhere, but he was uninjured. I have no more details at this time. Martha Meacham will have further information in her recap, but that won't be until tomorrow morning. She lives in the East, and it is close to 11:00 p.m. there as I write this. I'm working in MDT, so I'll wrap it up.

Once they got back to running, several drivers made some impressive gains in speed. Marty Roth ended up with a very respectable best speed of the test running 212.818-mph and late in the session Roth Racing teammate Jay Howard improved to 111.672-mph. Enrique Bernoldi became the 2nd driver on a former CCWS team to run a 210-mph lap. Here is the final T&S result.

For the first time in more than 12 years Paul Newman was seen at an IndyCar event, a sure sign of peace at last in Indy style racing.

(The 8:00 p.m. Report) For the first time in two days of testing we have finally gotten all 11 eligible drivers on the premises out on the track. In a thrash all day to get a replacement car ready for Bruno Junqueira, Dale Coyne Racing finally got the job done, and in doing so, found time to get Bruno's teammate Mario Moraes up and running as well. Rookie driver Moraes was the only driver yesterday not to get into the 200's, but he got there today. Jay Howard now has posted the fastest speed in two days of testing, barely besting his team owner Marty Roth. Oriol Servia is the first former CCWS driver to break into the 210's. Look for more speed in the next two hours as the drivers begin to pack-up and work the "tow's."

We are now under the yellow, with T&S showing Graham Rahal still on the track through several refresh cycles, that usually indicates a car stalled on the track or worse. More as soon as I hear something. I know one person at the track and I am trying to reach her by cell phone. (Confirmed, Graham Rahal has made contact, report to follow).

(6:00 p.m. EDT) Here is the 2-hour update. I didn't expect Marty Roth would run today, I was wrong, Roth and Jay Howard are again atop the T&S chart.
